offers 4 programs to assist with employment.

ePlus
is the adult workforce programming designed to help those who are
receiving public assistance to make the transition into the working
world and satisfactory employment opportunities.
To
be eligible to participate, a person must be receiving cash assistance,
or must have exhausted their time limits for receiving assistance.
Program
components:
• 2 – week job skills development & review group
• 2 – week job shadowing experience
• 4 – week subsidized employment
• Business mentors
This
program is funded through the Workforce Investment Act and is designed
to help youth ages 18 to 21 to enter the workforce and become caring,
productive members of their communities. Eligibility applications
for the program can be completed at Connections.
Program
components:
• 2 – weeks job skills development group
• individualized job searches
• leadership development
• community service projects
• girls night & boys night
• adult mentoring
• supportive services
• 6 weeks subsidized employment
• follow up services

This
program is also funded through the Workforce Investment Act and
is designed to help at-risk youth to complete school; gain knowledge
and training on job readiness skills; search career pathways; develop
citizenship and leadership skills; increase positive social behaviors.
Eligibility applications for this program may be completed at Connections.
Program
components:
• group activities that occur after school from 2:30pm to
4:30pm throughout the school year
• field trips and informational tours of local businesses
and areas of interest including colleges and cultural events
• paid and unpaid work experience & job shadowing
• adult mentoring
• leadership development
• community service activities
• supportive services
• follow up services
