The summer food service program for children was established in 1968 to ensure the children in the areas continue to receive nutritious meals during school vacations. Determined by eligibility, children ages one to eighteen and any person determined to be mentally or physically disabled, are provided free lunches at specific areas throughout Belmont county from June through the middle of August.
